  • Hays has an interesting short story, where the crew of the original series Enterprise is somehow transported to an alternate earth, where the 'reformation' is completely reversed - and there is a papacy of Calvinism. I wonder if this isn't an indirect jab at some in the Truly Reformed crowd, and certain Reformed Baptists/Presbyterians who think themselves the One True Church with confessions as a practical papacy? • Turk points out that one can believe or not believe in the OT miracles and still reject Christ. "Believing in those miracles doesn't give you faith in the one who is just and also the justifier of the ungodly." He points out that arguing for OT miracles is probably a time-waster in some respects, and instead exhorts people to argue for the most significant miracle, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "The flood of Noah is not good news: finding out that the tomb is empty, and Jesus Christ is risen -- a sign of His power and His authority, and of the worthiness of His sacrifice -- is actually Good News." The wrong miracles

  • This review of Challies' book on Amazon is hilarious. Horrible Self-Congratulatory Conformist Liberalism

  • James White has some openings in 2009 for speaking at churches on apologetics and theology. 2009 Filling Up Fast

  • Jon Bloom gives a narrative for the story of the leper healed by Christ, who asked Jesus, "If you will, you can make me clean." God's good gifts in this life all point to his greatest gift—one he really looks forward to giving us in full. If he did not spare his own son to give us the gift of forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life, "How will he not also with him graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32) Ask!

  • If you can find a post that shows that Turk has said he can read the original languages, or can't, he's offering prizes. Have fun! More on Phil Perkins
